Typhoon number 18 (Melor)

It looks like Typhoon number 18, or Melor, is forecast to hit the Tokyo area on Thursday.  At the moment, it’s being called a Super Typhoon, which is a very powerful, intense typhoon.  By the time it arrives here, it’s supposed to be a strong typhoon with wind speeds 144 km/h and wind gusts of up to 216 km/h.  At the moment, it has wind speeds of 198 km/h and gusts of up to 288 km/h.  If it does hit the Tokyo area as expected on Thursday, this would likely be the most powerful typhoon I’ve experienced.  This website tracks the typhoon and shows the forecast.  After the typhoon, it’s supposed to be sunny and warm.  We’ll see how this storm goes.

Yayoiken

I’m eating lunch in a new restaurant near where I live called Yayoiken. It has a ticket system for ordering food, so it’s pretty easy to order. I got the lemon steak, which also came with rice, salad and miso soup. The steak is pretty good.  The menu has a wide variety of foods, including tonkatsu, fish, sashimi, french fries, and more.
