Japanese Seasons

This is a bit of a summary of what I’ve already talked about in the past on here, but now it’s in video form! Take a look at what I think of Japan’s seasons and the attitude that Japan’s uniqueness is partly because it has four distinct seasons.

Sorry about the sound in he beginning.  It seems that the mic doesn’t work very well when I direct the screen away from me.

One thing that I find annoying to myself is that I speak far too slowly.  I have to thank more than 9 years of teaching English in Japan for that.  When I speak with other native English speakers, I’m quite normal, but for some reason, I slow down for the video.  I need to fix that.

Jay Dee in Japan is 5 Years Old

It was 5 years ago today that I made my first post on this blog, way back in 2009.  I can’t believe it’s been that long.  Now, there are more than 500 posts and more than 73,000 views.  I’m hoping for another 5 years on this blog, even if I’m no longer living in Japan.  I still have tons of photos to post.

Here is my original blog post.

Thanks for reading everyone!

Vlogging in Japan

It’s been a while.  No, I haven’t forgotten this blog.  Just been incredibly busy with my writing and book blog.  However, I have started something new.  Vlogging.  I’m making videos on YouTube, and many of them will be about Japan.  So, please enjoy these videos and subscribe to my YouTube channel.

Here is my announcement video:

And here I take a quick look at rice fields with a surprise from my daughter.

And finally, I made a short video about Guarana Soda.  Have you ever tried it?  Actually, have you ever seen it?

Let me know what you think.
