Cherry blossoms are finally blooming

Usually, cherry trees start blooming much earlier than this year. It was a cold March, so they were delayed. Now that the weather has become warmer and more like a regular spring, cherry blossoms have revealed themselves. This picture is just a taste of what can be seen now. I took this picture near Kawasaki Station in Kawasaki.

  1. I was just chatting with an adult student about the blossoms late arrival. I had a huge Hanami bash in 2009 with about 150 people and it was the last Sunday of March when they peaked on that mountainside.
