Usually, cherry trees start blooming much earlier than this year. It was a cold March, so they were delayed. Now that the weather has become warmer and more like a regular spring, cherry blossoms have revealed themselves. This picture is just a taste of what can be seen now. I took this picture near Kawasaki Station in Kawasaki.

I was just chatting with an adult student about the blossoms late arrival. I had a huge Hanami bash in 2009 with about 150 people and it was the last Sunday of March when they peaked on that mountainside.
Apparently, tomorrow’s supposed to be the peak here, taking the delay into account. How late is the peak there this year?
