The typhoon aftermath in Yokohama

I think this picture says it all. Beautiful blue sky. The typhoon missed us here, but it still left great weather.

Earthquake, typhoon, earthquake

Eventful 2 days, wasn’t it? A 6.9 magnitude earthquake on Sunday, then a typhoon that turned away from this area suddenly. Did it rain heavily? I was asleep. At 5:07am, I woke up, though. It was a 6.4 magnitude earthquake. My books almost fell down, and the main light in my apartment was swinging. I couldn’t hear any heavy rain, though. Exciting couple of days, wasn’t it?

Typhoon number 9 in the middle of the night

It’s late.  I need to go to bed.  But here’s a great video!  Actually, it’s not very exciting.  Just made it a few minutes ago.  Rain is exciting, isn’t it?  The typhoon is finally arriving.  I’ll probably sleep through the worst of it.  Good night!

I need to learn to read the time, typhoon update

It appears the typhoon won’t be here for a few more hours.  I’ve been reading the time on the typhoon forecast as Japan time, when it’s actually UTC.  That’s a 9 hour difference.  The weather should be really bad tomorrow morning and afternoon.  I’ll bring my camera to work.  It’ll be fairly quiet this week, as there are no kids classes and some students are away on holidays.  I’ll pop outside to take a video or two during the bad weather.  But they won’t be up on Youtube until I get home.
