This week is O-bon.  Here’s my question:  What are you doing for O-bon this year?

Storm update

It got sunny!  And now it’s not raining at all.  Actually, I’m reading in some places that it’s a typhoon, and other places say it’s a tropical storm.  Hmm, which is it?  Anyway, it’s going to be raining heavily later today.

Typhoon number 9

I’ve decided to take some videos throughout today to show how the typhoon progresses.  Right now, it’s pretty calm.  It’s about 28 degrees and very humid.  The rain is light, the wind is light, and the cicadas are noisy.  Last I checked, 12 people have died due to landslides and flooding in Okayama and Hyogo prefectures.  Anyway, enjoy the video.

Earthquake yesterday, typhoon today

Well, we had a pretty decent sized earthquake yesterday, and now a typhoon is heading this way.  Typhoon number 9 (Etau) is expected to make landfall in the Tokyo area late tonight/early tomorrow morning.  Heavy rain will be coming!  9 people have already died from this typhoon.  I guess I should go shopping for food before the heavy rain comes.  Tomorrow is going to be a very hot day!
