Why didn’t I bring an umbrella? I’m at Ofuna station and the rain is coming down very hard. And it’s a thunderstorm. I guess I should buy an umbrella.

Yokohama Station and bad English
I’m at Yokohama Station now, and going home. It looks like it’ll rain. I saw some bad spelling on an information map. Can you see it?

Why is it raining?
Rainy season ended last week. Then why is it raining more this week than it did during rainy season?
A little update here: It’s 4 hours since I posted this. The rain wasn’t bad when I took the picture, but now it is a very heavy downpour.

Exploring Japan: Yokohama to Minato Mirai
It’s been too long since I last posted pictures. This time, it’s pictures that I took recently. In fact, they were from Sunday, July 19. It’s a walk from Yokohama station to Minato Mirai, with a little bit near Aka-Renga Soko and the new Zounohana Park. I was only briefly at Zounohana Park that day, but as you’ll see in my July 20th pictures which I’ll post sometime later, I returned with a very long walk.
The walk from Yokohama to Minato Mirai I’ve made several times. If you look at an earlier set of pictures from Minato Mirai that I posted, you’ll see that there are really big changes in the area. 4 years ago, most of the area was dirt and grass fields that had yet to be built on. Now, most of the area is built up with expensive condo buildings, shopping areas and office buildings. Most notably, Nissan’s new head office is being constructed now. Anyway, take a look at the pictures!
I’ll get the next group of pictures up as soon as I can. You’ll get to see the big spider from the 150 anniversary celebration of the opening of Yokohama Port.
Here is today’s lunch
